Seafood with Water Views

When some think about healthy eating, their mind goes to fresh seafood and Ponte Vedra has a range of options to consider. Some can add a special feature to that experience – great water proximity along the Intercoastal Waterway. The Intracoastal Waterway provides a serene setting to enjoy the water, boats and natural environments while enjoying some of the best seafood in the region.

Barbara Jean’s is well known for its diversity of seafood and southern “made from scratch” home-style cooking.  Also located right on the Intracoastal Waterway, enjoy the views from Barbara Jean’s back deck or indulge in your seafood favorites while watching the sunset along the waterway. You can also choose from shrimp, tuna, their fresh catch, or others and combine them with an array of southern-themed side dishes.

Palm Valley Fish Camp is another one to consider. Located in the central portion of Ponte Vedra directly along the Intracoastal Waterway, the restaurant has been serving some of the freshest seafood to locals and visitors for years. Whether shrimp, oysters, crabcakes, tuna, or a range of other options, the Upscale Camp is always a great alternative to nourish your body while in Ponte Vedra.

Located off A1A in the heart of Sawgrass Village, Aqua Grill offers a host of seafood options, including flounder, cod, trout, shrimp, scallops, and snapper. In addition to choosing from a wide choice of high-quality seafood options, you relax in a setting that provides unique interior finishes, special enough that they garnered a Best Interior award from Restaurant Guru. Sit on their patio or look through the expansive windows to enjoy the water views and sparkling fountains.

Valley Smoke is also on the Intercoastal and offers a barbeque theme to the water experience. For ocean-view experiences consider the 1912 Ocean Bar and Rooftop in Ponte Vedra Beach and the Reef Restaurant on your way to St. Augustine. While not on the Intercoastal Waterway, there are several other options that offer a water view including American Gator and Aqua Grill at Sawgrass. These options expand if you consider a drive down to St. Augustine. Then consider Caps on the Water and Aunt Kate’s.
